Introduction (Early 2007'ish)

The idea behind the 3D Championship 2007 competition is to fill a gap in the UK competition scene between the existing two competitions. The excellent Clubman competition currently has entry restrictions placed on potential competitors, and the 3D Masters is open to the world stage, restricting the number of places that a UK pilot can potentially take at that event.

What this new competition does is allow every pilot in the UK a chance to compete in order to see who the best 3D pilot in the UK is in 2007. No entry restrictions exist for any UK pilot and there will be no international entrants.

If you want to watch the best 3D pilots in the UK competing, then come along for a fun weekend… it’s free to attend for all spectators. There is onsite camping, on-site catering and a huge raffle too!Overview of the 3D Championship 2007 competition

Pilots are required to submit 5 set manoeuvres at the highest K factor they are capable of performing. If required, the declared K factor manoeuvres will be used to split pilots into a maximum of two groups.

After all pilots have performed their set manouevres, each pilot will then perform their 3 minute freestyle flight which may or may not be set to the pilots choice of music.

The combined scores from the two rounds will determine the fly-off positions.

The fly-offs will see the top pilots from each group perform their set manouevres and freestyle flights again (from a zeroed score) and the result of these fly-offs will determine the winners.

Who can enter?
The 3D Championship 2007 competition is open to every 3D pilot in the UK, and will be judged using the world renowned 3DX format.

Previous competitions have no bearing on the entry eligibility of any pilot.
