IMPORTANT NEWS 26 March 2007

Due to the running of a local motorcycle racing event (The Tandragee 100) accommodation in the local area is becoming more and more difficult to come by.

The organisers of 3DX Ireland have managed, with great difficulty, to cut a deal with a local hotel (The Carn Grove Hotel) to supply twin rooms (separate beds guys!) at special discounted rate. The hotel is close to the flying field and the price includes a full cooked breakfast.

It is £30 stg per person per night and it is where all of our invited guests from the UK are staying. For more info mail me on info@3dheliireland.com and I will get back to you ASAP.

*****Availability is disappearing FAST so get in now and be guaranteed a good place to stay!!

Not long to go now until the biggest 3D event ever held in Ireland hits our shores.

Scheduled for 4th, 5th and 6th of May 2007, at Tarzan Lane, Portadown, N.Ireland, 3DX Ireland is the first 3D competition of it's kind to be held here in Ireland. The event weekend is to begin with the Friday and Saturday being a massive heli funfly, where all levels of heli flyer will receive a warm welcome.

Featured pilots include Steven Gerrard, Chris “Fast Lad” Walton, Jamie Cole and many more, who will help us judge the weekend and show off their latest manoeuvres with display flights galore... We also have several key sponsors currently coming on line.

The competition itself will take place on the Sunday morning, with all entrants being asked to fly two rounds, (i) Set Manoeuvres round  (total K factor of 6) and (ii) a 3 minute Freestyle round.

Depending on actual numbers the top pilots from the morning will go through to a fly off final in the afternoon, where the pilots will once again fly their two rounds with the top placed pilot claiming the 3DX Ireland Trophy……more to follow on that soon!

3DX is open to competitors from the island of Ireland only.
