Clubman 3DX

Location Leamington Heli Centre, UK

Scope Clubman 3DX 2007 will take the form of a Fun Fly on Saturday and a 3DX competition on Sunday. Clubman 3DX is designed to test and give competition experience to UK Grass Roots pilots, and so entries will not be accepted from previous top 3 placed Clubman 3D pilots nor previous 3D Masters entrants. The winner of Clubman 3DX 2007 will automatically be guaranteed a place in the Sportsman Class of 3D Masters 2007

The Clubman team would like to announce that the 2007 event will be held in memory of 2 friends that were lost to us in 2006.

The Rob Birch Trophy 1st Clubman 3DX 2007
Rob Birch a young man who’s life was taken short by a terrible accident in October 2006. Rob was a keen aviation enthusiast and was always a welcome part of our flying circle of friends his talent as an RC helicopter pilot was outstanding. Rob will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Rob’s fiancée is taking up a huge challenge in October 2007 to raise money for charity in Rob’s memory, Francine will be riding an Enfield Bullet motorcycle approximately 900 miles around the Himalayas in India please follow the link if you feel you could support Francine with her brave quest. www.justgiving.com/frankandbob.

The Collin Smith Trophy 2nd Clubman 3DX 2007
Collin Smith was known by many people in our hobby he was a true gentleman and an ambassador for our sport, As one of the founder members of the North Nott’s Model Flying Club Colin always worked hard to put other people first and was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Colin will be sadly missed by all his club members and any of the people who were fortunate enough to meet him.

FlightTech UK have generously offered the highest placed electric heli pilot in Clubman 3DX 2007 £100 in prize money and will be given a place on the FlightTech pod pilot sponsor program.

30th January
Entries are rolling in already!!

Clubman 3DX would like to announce an addition to this years event, the Sky@Night Trophy sponsored by Skyline Models. This freestyle night flying competition will be held on Saturday 19th May, with a cash prize for the winner!!

Entries via email to skynight@clubman3d.co.uk The competition is open to ALL levels of pilot, the entry fee is £10 and is payable on the night of the event. Places for this competition are limited so please make sure you send us an email with your details if you are interested.

Preparations for the Clubman 3DX 2007 are taking shape. More details to follow shortly, including entry forms and competition details etc.

The Clubman 3DX Team are pleased to announce that the 2007 event will be held at Leamington Hobby Centre. Thanks to Sean Brown and the rest of the LHC Team for the use of their great site and facilities.
